1. Information We Collect
SkunkPlatform collects only essential account information required for authentication and platform functionality:
- Username
- Email Address
- Birth Date
- Password (securely hashed and never stored in plain text)
We do not collect payment information as accounts do not support monetary transactions.
2. Account Moderation
- Deactivation:Applied when suspicious or compromised activity is detected.
- Deletion:Applied after multiple severe violations with no recovery possible.
- Strike System:1st–5th violation leads to warnings and escalating strikes.
- Temporary/Permanent Ban:Based on severity and repeated violations.
- Suspension:Restricts posting, messaging, forums, and profile updates.
- Content Restriction (16+):Limits access to teen-suitable content and enforces age-based controls.
3. Data Storage
SkunkPlatform uses:
- Firebase Authentication for SPA (SkunkPlatform Account system)
- Firebase Realtime Database and Firestore for user and system data
4. Security & Verification
SkunkPlatform implements security and verification systems to ensure that users are real individuals and to prevent automated abuse.
- Verification:Email confirmation, CAPTCHA systems, and internal verification checks
- Activity Protection:Monitors account behavior to detect suspicious or unauthorized access
- Security Levels:Accounts may be assigned protection levels depending on activity and risk
5. SkunkPlatform Account (SPA)
SPA (SkunkPlatform Account) is the modern account system used across SkunkPlatform services.
- Replaces the legacy SkunkPlatform Account system (fully deprecated in 2024)
- Designed for improved security, scalability, and cross-service integration
SPAD (SkunkPlatform Account Data) is securely stored and protected using industry-standard practices.
6. OAuth & Permissions
SkunkPlatform provides an OAuth-based authentication system for secure access to user data.
Available Scopes:
- spa.profile:Access basic profile information
- spa.forums:Read forum posts and interactions
- spa.identifier:Access unique user ID (UID)
Limitations:
- No access is granted beyond explicitly approved scopes
- SkunkPlatform OAuth does not currently implement OpenID Connect (OIDC)
7. Anti-Abuse Policy
SkunkPlatform prohibits automated or malicious activity that attempts to bypass system protections.
- Automation used to bypass platform restrictions
- Spam or abusive behavior
- Attempts to exploit platform systems or APIs

These services process data only as required to perform their functions.

Requests may be processed within a reasonable timeframe.
12. Policy Updates
This Privacy Policy may be updated at any time. Continued use of SkunkPlatform services implies acceptance of changes.
